Frequently asked questions
Short answers. Anything not yet delivered is marked as such.
Data and security
Where is my data?
On your side. Buyvera is installed on your workstation or server, on site or in your private cloud. No price data leaves the company. Hosting by the publisher does not exist.
Does the tool send my data to an artificial intelligence?
No. Buyvera uses no remote language model. Its calculations are deterministic: the same data gives the same results.
Who sees what?
Each user has a profile: buyer, supply planner, data steward, purchasing management, purchasing manager, finance, data architect, administrator, and three support profiles — supply chain manager, commercial manager and site manager. Rights are checked on the server side. The scope is bounded: the site manager sees only their own entity, and the supply chain manager supervises the planners in their scope. Each export contains only the columns allowed for the profile.
How is my data protected against loss?
By a verified backup and corruption detection with quarantine. A register of data loads lets you find a faulty load into the tool's database and undo it without deleting anything.
Can users sign in with the company directory?
Not yet. Sign-in with the company directory is in preparation, with no committed date.
In preparation, no committed date
Is the product certified?
No, the product holds no certification. Security questionnaires are handled case by case.
ERP and supplier files
Does the tool write to my ERP?
No, never. Buyvera reads your ERPs and produces files; a person on your team does the import. The tool produces the import file specific to each ERP, checked by supply planning, then read back from the ERP; the format of each ERP is set from a sample file provided by your IT department.
Which ERPs can you read?
The tool reads ERPs in read-only mode, through a scheduled export, an SQL view or a web service. During the demonstration, we look with you at how your ERP makes its data available.
Which price list files are read?
Excel and CSV price lists received by email: simple, matrix by entity, long list, quantity breaks. A workbook with several sheets is inventoried in full: sheets with the same columns are read together; a sheet with different columns is flagged; a hidden or archive sheet is set aside by default, with a question; a reference carrying two prices raises a question to the buyer. No sheet is lost silently. A PDF produced by software (ERP, spreadsheet) is accepted: extracted, then reviewed before it is used. A scanned PDF is rejected, with its reason.
Does adding a supplier require development?
No. Adding a supplier is configuration, never code.
How do the supplier's references reach my items?
By exact match, by rules, by approximate matching, then by a human decision when doubt remains. Each link is recorded in a register that can be fully undone.
Reliable figures
What happens if a price is unreadable?
It stays empty, with its reason. The tool never guesses a price and never counts a missing value as zero. The preliminary report flags what blocks and what warns, before any processing.
Can a decision be undone?
Yes. Every decision, link and correction is versioned and can be undone. Nothing is final.
Where does each figure come from?
From your file. Each figure traces back to its source: one click leads to the original cell.
What is the difference between the announced increase and the weighted increase?
The announced increase is the one the supplier states. The weighted increase takes into account the volumes you actually buy. Buyvera shows both side by side, and tells you whether the supplier raised its list price or reduced its discount.
Does the tool forecast prices?
No. Purchasing advice starts from an announced increase, never from a guessed trend.
Installation and implementation
What kind of installation?
On your side, on site or in your private cloud: you keep your data, your database and your IT. One installation per customer, in containers, for several users at the same time. Sign-in with the company directory is in preparation.
What happens when the software is updated?
Updates are delivered without data loss, with automatic rollback if they fail. The configuration specific to your company is left untouched.
And when a supplier sends a new price list?
The new version is compared with the previous one: weighted increase and simple average side by side, annualised impact, Pareto, spread between sites.
Which languages?
The tool's interface is in French only today. This website is also available in English.
For which sectors?
Two business profiles exist: generic direct purchasing (materials, components, consumables) and industrial. Another sector can be configured.
How much does Buyvera cost?
The price is quoted on request. It depends on the number of entities, the ERPs to connect, the installation mode and the support. There is no public price list.
How does a demonstration work?
First on a fictitious demonstration data set. Then, if you wish, on two of your suppliers, on your premises.
