Who is behind the tool
The author
Buyvera is designed and developed by Patrice Duclos, its author. He offers it as an independent.
This site presents no team and no offices: the tool has one author, and he is the person you meet during the demonstration.
Why the tool exists
Suppliers send their price lists as Excel files, each in its own layout. The increase rate they announce does not tell you what the increase really costs the company.
Buyvera reads these price lists, compares them with the previous one and calculates the real increase, weighted by the volumes purchased. It spots special prices applied in the ERP but never granted, and prepares the negotiation file.
It runs on the customer's workstation or server: no price data leaves the company.
The principles behind its design
- Data the tool cannot read stays empty, with its reason.
- Every decision is versioned and can be undone.
- The tool reads the ERP; it never writes to it.
- Each figure traces back to the cell of its original file.
- The same data gives the same results.
