The Rules and Help buttons
Two buttons in the top bar, on the right, are available from any screen and for every profile, read only. They do not answer the same question.
| Button | Answers | What it opens |
|---|---|---|
| Rules (book icon) | “what does the engine do here, and why?” | the rules applied on the screen |
| Help (question mark) | “how do I do it?” | the help page of the open screen |
Rules: the applied rule, at any time
Section titled “Rules: the applied rule, at any time”The Rules button opens, from any screen, the rules the engine applies on that screen, plus the principles that hold everywhere: an absence is never a zero, the engine does not guess, the ERP is never written to.
For each rule you read:
- what it does, and why;
- who decided it and when;
- the current value of your company’s settings (for example the alert threshold for an increase).
A rule that is decided but not yet delivered carries an orange banner: the engine does not apply it yet. “All
rules” and the search (a word, RF-…, B-…) go through the complete register.
Help: the page of the open screen
Section titled “Help: the page of the open screen”The Help button opens, in a new tab, the page of the online help that explains the screen you are on: “Price lists received” opens the page Price lists received, “My tasks” opens the task list. A screen that has no page yet opens the home page of the help, where you choose your job.
- The help follows the interface language when it exists in that language (English), and French otherwise.
- It is read on
buyvera.fr/aide/or, if your IT department installed it, on an internal copy that does not leave the company network. They can also hide the button.
